Afterhours Custom Plugs are handcrafted saltwater wooden plugs, built one plug at a time. Each plug is turned, painted, and assembled by hand. The production of our plugs is limited, due to the amount of labor involved. For the most part we build plugs to order. Starting with the wood, we use Alaskan Yellow Cedar. All plugs are thru wired with stainless steel wire and use the highest quality hardware including VMC hooks and Wolverine SS triple split rings. Don Guimelli has been an avid striped bass fisherman in New England and a woodworker for over 35 years. He became interested in building his own plugs because he knew exactly what he wanted in a plug: the highest quality, and fish catching castability.
